Prayer Rhythm

Morning Prayer - set the tone for your day by beginning with prayer, reflection and devotional Bible reading. Allow this new start to every day to form your focus for the tasks of the hours ahead.

Midday Prayer - take the opportunity to refocus yourself by setting aside 10 minutes to place yourself back in the hands of God.

Evening Prayer - as your day draws to a close, take time to give God the space that he deserves. Use it as an opportunity to reflect on the day, recognising where God was and also the spaces where you struggled.

Who We Are...

Commoners is a community of people from different paths and geographical locations adhering to a basic rule of life and gathering around the rhythm of prayer and worship in our lives. We draw on a common liturgical framework using Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals. Our lives are committed to a rhythm of spiritual pursuit through prayer, Holy Communion, confession, contemplation, bible reflection, meeting together and regular time in solitude.

"So brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him, which is the spiritual way for you to worship. Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect." Romans 12:1-2 (NCV)
